“We realized the impact and depth of our work when we first read our annual report”

We at Shree Nidhi Foundation provide micro finance to women from slum communities for doing income generation activities and starting business for livelihood. We kept continuing the lending to women but never realized that we are really impacting the lives of these women until we met with the Team Renovate India. We realized the impact and depth of our work when we first read our annual report.  The association also helped us to understand our weaknesses and how to act on them.

“Honestly, we had never heard of a concept like knowledge management”

It was indeed a breakthrough for Ghe Bharari to come across with an organisation like Renovate India.  We kept on continuing with our work of providing livelihood home based opportunities for women for slum communities, but never really realized the potential that lays in our model. We had never heard of a concept like knowledge management but with the help of Renovate India we are able to record our work as well as understand the potential in our model. Their specialty is that they first visit our project site, understand our model and then offer services. They analyze everything and then help us filling that gap for smooth project execution. Because of them we have been able to understand what and how important the project report is. We have been able to be persistent in our work with their constant follow ups.  With the help of sessions they deliver and the exercises they give us to do during the sessions, we have been able to identify the leadership skills amongst us. Our presentation skills also have been improved by practicing to resent our organisation during the session. We like their way of work in which they take ownership, specially visit our office and help us clear our backlog. We must say, Renovate India has been a credible and transparent organisation.

“We realized the amount of backlog that was piled up over the period of time”

We at Savitri Mahila Mandal work to empower women against domestic violence and any injustice that takes place in their life. Since we have been mentored initially by Community Of Resource Organisation (CORO), we found little difficulty into operating independently. It was indeed a great need for us to come across with an organisation like Renovate India that could help us understand how to account for every single activity we do. We realized the amount of backlog that was piled up over the period of time. One thing that we find very good about Renovate India that they understand our weaknesses, level of understanding and include everyone towards working for a solution. In case if we do not understand some things we have an assurance that we can approach them anytime. Our journey towards growth had been wonderful by associating with Renovate India.

“We received on site assistance for forming the vision and mission of the organisation”

It has been 10 years we have been actively working in the community development through women empowerment, but we all were completely unaware that the work we do has to be systematically recorded and managed. We realized the importance of the documentation after being associated with Renovate India, because we received on site assistance for forming the vision and mission of the organisation. Another catching factor for us about Renovate India is they take complete ownership of the work and make us feel comfortable in working towards any task. In case if we forget to give or record any information about our organisation, Renovate India takes constant follow up through mails, calls and Whatsapp. Renovated India connected us with the corporate like UPL and we gained an opportunity to even present our model to them. With the guidance given by Renovate India we have been able to bring efficiency into our work and currently have gained confidence to keep bringing efficiency into work.
