Renovate India

Education Project

In today’s world, essential skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving should be developed from a young age. However, many Zilla Parishad schools lack adequate infrastructure, like science labs and libraries, resulting in poor educational quality. SSF and TIAA aimed to address these issues in Navi Mumbai and Mumbai Suburbs by introducing mobile laboratories and libraries. The project began before the COVID-19 pandemic, but faced challenges due to school closures. Despite this, SSF adapted by conducting online science sessions and utilizing apps to ensure continued learning. The initiative saw collaboration from schools, communities, and local social workers, maintaining its momentum even during the lockdown.
